Débora Cristina Rother
Tropical Plant Ecology

I am an adjunct professor at the Federal University of São Carlos in São Paulo State. I am a Biologist fascinated in plant-animal interactions and interested in understanding the different forces determining the structure and diversity of species in tropical plant communities.
My dissertation and doctoral projects were carried out in a pristine tropical forest of southern Brazil, where I established a frugivory, seed rain and regeneration monitoring system to elucidate the dynamic and the demographic bottlenecks of plant regeneration cycle.
Currently, my research focus on how restored forests can help the recovery of ecological processes and ecosystem services in agroecosystems.
